SN9082 sold for $1800 on eBay May 9th, 2007

The machine was in storage for 30 years by the seller

In 2023, the owner sent me an update...

I finally gave in and sold my red Computer Space SN9082 to a person in Ohio a year ago. On January 28, 2022. It was fully working at that time, and complete minus the original coin box and with a repro aluminum control panel. And wheels instead of levelers.

I bought it from the ebay seller back in 2007.

The guy I bought it from said his dad owned a pizza shop back in the day. He (the dad) purchased 2 coinop games to put in the store. One was CS #9082. He bought it new in 1972. IIRC, he closed the pizza shop in 1977. He took the game home and put it in his garage where it stayed untouched until I bought it on May 9th, 2007. It was all original and complete minus the paint can coin box when I got it. It had a 5-6" crack in the cabinet from a too-tight dolly strap. From when he put in in the garage I think. Everything was almost working but unstable and the rocket ship didn't show on screen. I went throught the power supply and the boards and brought them back to life. Sometime between 2007 and 2009 I replaced the aluminum control panel with a silkscreened repro panel from Kevin Winslow.

In 2009, I took it to California Extreme where it ran continuously the whole weekend. But there was a minor sync issue in the monitor. I rebuilt the TV later that summer. It was pretty rock solid after that until I sold it. I added nice 3" casters at one point along the way.
